In recent years, I’ve written and edited: website content, handbooks, app copy, content for a national newspaper in Scotland and numerous articles for Scottish Book Trust and their partner organisations. More recently, I have written articles about beautiful migrating birds, Scotland’s beloved hares and the concerning rise in wildfires in the country for the Scottish Wildlife Trust magazine.

I’ve prepared content and curated book lists for Children in Scotland, the Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution, LGBT Youth Scotland and Education Scotland. I’ve reviewed a million books for Children’s Books Ireland’s website, their Inis magazine and other bespoke publications. And I was also an editorial expert for the UK’s leading book recommendation website, LoveReading.co.uk.

I led on a marketing campaign for an award-winning events organisation that persuaded 2,000 cyclists to head to Scotland for an epic road race – and encouraged many more to come and experience the joy of trail running and skiing in our hills and mountains.

As well as articles and reviews, I’ve posted countless social media posts. Written targeted newsletter content. Prepared online competitions and edited scripts for YouTube videos.

I’m lucky to live in one of the most beautiful corners of Scotland: the Tweed Valley. Even better, I get to write about all my favourite things to do and see in the area for Go Tweed Valley, a wonderfully vibrant Tourism Business Improvement District (BID).

In my spare time, I am writing and editing my own books.
